Feral definition in regards to a domesticated animal: A feral animal is one that is a descendent of a domesticated animal that was born and lives in a wild, untamed state of being. Feral animals are born in the wild, an animal that previously lived in a domesticated environment that was lost would be considered a stray. If the stray animal had offspring in the wild, the offspring would be considered feral; Suzy came across a stray cat with a litter of feral kittens. The stray cat and feral kittens were not too friendly, they all hissed at Suzy and ran away dispite her offering them milk.
