Bait Car Show
Reality TV producers have been at it again! The Bait Car Show follows a sting unit setting up bait cars and arresting car thieves. The bait car is typically parked and left with the keys in it in an area with a high stolen car rate. The bait car is equipped with microphones and cameras recording the entire event. Once the bait car is stolen, the police track stolen car via GPS then shut the stolen car down remotely and lock the thief in the stolen car. Once the thief is detained and in custody, the police interview them and listen to their silly lies.
The Bait Car show is good for a guilty pleasure laugh...pun intended. The car thieves are somewhat smarter that those poor people on Cops, but nut not by much. When the car shuts down, locks them in and two unmarked cars and two marked police cars rush up to the scene, they don't even have the common sense to realized they fell for a trap and exercise their right to remain silent. No, instead the majority of people say 'this woman told me to move it' or 'this woman told me I caould have it'...really? Some of these car thieves honestly believe that that the police are going to simply un-cuff them and let them go, kind of makes you feel sorry for them.
